Micah parsons is my favorite player in the NFL and here is a little bit about him

Childhood

Micah parsons was born on may 26th 1999 in Harrisburg Pennsylvania, in elementary school he hated school and never wanted to think about it because he wanted to play football instead. After he got out of middle school, he didn’t know what high school to go to because coaches from other school districts wanted him to attend their school to play football. After some time of thinking about it, He decided to attended Central Dauphin High School for his freshman and sophomore years and had a 3.2 GPA. But he heard rumors that their football program wasn’t good enough there so he decided to transfer to Harrisburg High School to play football where he started at both defensive end and running back,

Where legends are made

Coming out of high school, he was a 5 star recruit and 40 college teams offered him a scholarship to play D1 football, Micah parsons had a really tough time thinking about it but after almost 1 month he decided to attend the University of Penn State to play football and get his education.

College career

Yep as you can see he was a monster in college but not only to the CFB environment but also to the entire sports world. In his legendary career at Penn state, he was tied for seventh all-time at Penn State with six forced fumbles and he finished 3 straight games with 10 + tackles in a game which is tied first all time in PSU history isn’t that crazy? He’s made it to the all BIG TEN 1st team 3 times and won the bednarik award for best defensive end

Welcome to the NFL

As he was waiting to be drafted to the 2021 NFL draft he was also waiting for his named to be called to make his dreams come true he got a Call from the cowboys owner Jerry Jones. Jerry said “welcome to the team Micah, your drafted” as Micah parsons was jumping up and down he heard his name as Rodger Goodell said “with the 12th pick of the 2021 NFL draft The Dallas Cowboys select, Micah parsons, defensive end Penn State. Micah parsons went up on stage and was holding the jersey to take a picture to officially be on the Dallas cowboys. A couple days later tho he signed a 4 year deal worth $17 million for his rookie contract.

Life in the NFL so far

right now in the NFL he has been doing great, he is on pace to win NFL defensive player of the year. Micah has 7.5 sacks right now which is 10th in the NFL 31 tackles, and 1 forced fumble this season. he’s projected to have 14 sacks this season which is really good. His rookie year tho he won NFL defensive rookie of the year, His 12 sacks tho in his first 13 games in 2021 are the fourth most by a rookie in NFL history just behind Julius Peppers. He finished with 84 tackles that year and proven he’s capable of being the best defensive player in the NFL.
