Kanye is my favorite singer because he usually helps me when I’m sad. Old Kanye is very inspiring; his earlier music is inspirational. His music makes me happier, and his words are helpful. I also like his gospel music. My cousin Chris told me that I should start listening to Kanye. I wasn’t planning to, but later I decided to give it a try, and I liked it. It was good—not too fast; he wasn’t mumbling, and you can understand what he says. He doesn’t just talk about nothing.

 Kanye had a locked jaw from his fatal car accident around 2002. He had three parts of his jaw shattered and had to get his jaw wired, but that experience shaped Kanye into who he is today. When he was in the car crash, he fell asleep while driving, which resulted in his shattered jaw. His jaw was closed for a whole month. He also made a song about it called “Through the Wire.”
